Standard Processing Time
Most eTAs are approved within minutes. In most cases, you will receive your eTA approval immediately after submitting your application.
What Affects Processing Time?
Fast Approval (Minutes)
Most applicants receive approval within minutes when all information is accurate and complete.
Extended Review (Hours to Days)
Some applications require additional review and may take 24-72 hours. If additional information is needed, you will receive an email within 72 hours.
eTA Validity Period
Once approved, your Canada eTA is valid for 5 years from the date of approval, or until your passport expires (whichever comes first). It allows multiple entries with stays of up to 6 months per visit.
